WHAT DO WE DO?

We bring solutions and improvements for needs that have not yet been resolved

The Institute of Robotics for Dependency (IRD or Instituto de Robótica para la Dependencia in Spanish) has signed agreements with major entities to collect all the needs that still have not been resolved and for which the technology could lead to a solution. To achieve this we organize meetings and workshops where we work collaboratively with different actors (dependant persons, their relatives, care professionals and entities) in which, jointly and proactively, all kinds of needs are raised and new ideas are developed. These are then evaluated by the Scientific Committee and prioritized by development costs, the difficulty of its implementation, the positive impact they may pose to their beneficiaries or the cost to the end user.

Our main motivation

What moves us is the idea of working to empower dependent persons to live independently, providing the tools they may need to have the opportunity to choose their place of residence and where and with whom they live on an equal basis with others, not been obliged to live in a particular living arrangement.
