The Institute of Robotics for Dependency (IRD or Instituto de Robótica para la Dependencia in Spanish) is a private foundation, based in Sitges, Barcelona. It is a non-profit organization, registered in the Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte of Spain (nº 1,709).

The institute was created by the Ave Maria Foundation with the aim to separate care activities from innovation after 30 years of experience, to specialize the Institute to become a point of reference worldwide.
Laundry ID
Eliminates errors in the classification of clothing in residences and facilitates labor inclusion
R+D
We are a technology center focused on R+D designed for and by its beneficiaries and able to perform our own tests tests with end users. This makes our projects more viable and cross-cutting, from the start (concept phase) to the end (implementation), thanks to the involvement of the people with disabilities from the Fundació Ave Maria and other collaborating centers.
PILOT PLANT
The Institute of Robotics for Dependency offers to other R&D teams and companies a technology center for testing and development with end users.
INNOVATION
We are convinced that our contribution in the field of innovation must be based on the real needs of dependent people and their families as well as professionals and institutions of the sector itself. From the IRD we want to promote the implementation of the advantages and solutions that robotics and modern technology bring, helping them reach the people who need them most. We create finalist and low cost products that solve real needs.
TECHNOLOGICAL VOLUNTEERS
Anyone with knowledge engineering (IT, systems or industrial) can volunteer to help through robotics to people with disabilities.
MAIN PROJECTS
Get Involved
