Talent Trainer_promoting Independent Living for people with disabilities.
- An initiative of the IRD and the Consell Comarcal del Garraf in the framework of the Programa Comarca Cuidadora to create a training platform to support independent living.
- Join us as a volunteer to define the training needs of the group.
Sitges, August 31, 2023. – The Instituto de Robótica por la Dependencia (IRD) demonstrates once again, true to its founding objectives, its commitment to dependent people with the start of the new Talent Trainer project. Integrated within the Programa Comarca Cuidadora, it is a joint initiative with the Consell Comarcal del Garraf and aims to facilitate the independent living of people with intellectual disabilities.
The Talent Trainer platform generates a training plan for each person, identifying the person’s training needs through scales, interviews, questionnaires and evaluations. Learning objectives are established once the training needs have been identified. The action plan is designed and implemented with the learning activities, necessary resources and progress over time to achieve them. The results of the training actions are evaluated by the beneficiary and by the professionals who have accompanied him/her in the training with continuous evaluations and final evaluation.
A virtual assistant is in charge of monitoring the implementation of the training plan, interacting with the person with a natural language and individually adapted, encouraging the use of technologies.
Talent Trainer is more than just a training platform; it is an opportunity for people with DI to live more independently and acquire the necessary skills and competencies to achieve this. Innovation is key in this project, as it incorporates artificial intelligence technology and a chatbot to provide a personalized approach and ongoing support tailored to each participant.
In addition to being a cutting-edge technological initiative, the project focuses on the training needs of the individual, promoting Independent Living for people with disabilities in Garraf.
The Talent Trainer program joins a series of actions and projects that the IRD carries out to promote the independent living of people with disabilities. It is a sign of the ongoing commitment of the IRD and the Consell Comarcal del Garraf to improve the quality of life, personal development and active participation of people with intellectual disabilities in society.
