- The Laundry ID product, an inclusive laundry system with adapted technology, was presented by the Robotics Institute for Dependency (IRD) at the Plena Inclusión España national conference “Practices with Impact” and recognized as one of the 10 most innovative initiatives.
A landmark event in the sector
We participated in the Plena Inclusión España National Congress on Good Practices, held on November 6 and 7, 2025, in Seville. Under the slogan “Practices with Impact”, this meeting brought together associations and other social sector organizations committed to inclusion.
The aim was to share and disseminate innovative projects and products that demonstrate a real impact in key areas, such as community life, good governance of organizations, and the use of technology as a tool for inclusion.
Selected from among 200 projects
Among the practices selected in the Technologies for Inclusion block was Laundry ID: inclusive laundries using adapted technology – a product of the Robotics Institute for Dependency. This initiative consists of a laundry system that uses radio frequency (RFID) and LED guides to help sort clothes, eliminating errors and facilitating the inclusion of people with disabilities in ordinary work environments.
Our practice was chosen from among more than 200 proposals as one of those selected to be presented at the conference. This recognition highlights the innovation of Laundry ID and its potential as a model of good practice in the social and healthcare sector.
The Institute participated in the conference together with the Ave Maria Foundation, promoter of the Laundry ID product. Jordi Cerezuela Badia, Deputy Director of the Institute, was responsible for representing the organization during the conference. In various areas of the pavilion, he gave practical demonstrations of how Laundry ID works, showing in a dynamic and accessible way how the system optimizes the laundry process. This provided a live illustration of how technology can improve service quality and generate new inclusive jobs in nursing homes and day centres.
