The position is fully funded for 3 years of full-time research, expecting to start on September 2017. The successful candidate will be employed as part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/cordis.europa.eu\/project\/rcn\/204557_en.html\">Mart\u00ed Franqu\u00e8s Programme (MFP)<\/a>, designed to attract the most talented doctoral candidates to work on ground-breaking research projects. <strong>Please note this fellowship is available only to candidates with disability.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The goal of this research is to achieve an advancement of Human Machine Interaction abilities to enable online autonomous adaptation of their interaction activities to the user\u2019s engagement and emotional state. The research will be applied to the cognitive training of individuals suffering from autism spectrum disorder, dementia, intellectual disabilities, brain damage or mental health issues.<\/p>\n<h3>Candidate profile<\/h3>\n<p>The successful candidates must have a masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence or a related field. A background in Human Machine Interaction will be an advantage. The working language is English and knowledge of Spanish would be a plus.<\/p>\n<p>Successful applicants must have a recognized disability to be eligible for the position. There are no limitations regarding the researchers&#8217; origin but should comply with the mobility rules of the Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie actions: at the time of recruitment, the researcher may NOT have resided and carried out their main activity in Spain for more than twelve months in the three years immediately prior to their appointment.<\/p>\n<h3>What do we offer?<\/h3>\n<p>We offer the opportunity to do scientifically challenging research. You will receive a competitive salary and assistance with accommodation.\u00a0Your gross annual salary will be \u20ac 26443,80.<\/p>\n<p>The research will be supervised by Prof. Domenec Puig and conducted at the Instituto de Rob\u00f3tica para la Dependencia facilities. The IRD does research and develops innovative products with a clear societal impact.
