The Institute of Robotics for Dependency collaborates with the <\/span>Diputaci\u00f3 de Barcelona<\/span><\/i> (Barcelona Provincial Council) in <\/span>NEXES<\/i><\/b>, an innovative program that aims to detect and accompany elderly people in a situation of <\/span>unwanted loneliness<\/b>, promoting their well-being and links with the community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our contribution: the technological engine of <\/b>NEXES<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

As a technology center committed to positive social impact, from the Institute of Robotics we developed <\/span>the technological engine that makes the operation of the platform possible personalized NEXES<\/em> and the County Council<\/b>. This tool allows participating local councils <\/span>to manage the data of the beneficiaries<\/b>, monitor them and efficiently coordinate the actions foreseen in the <\/span>personalised support plans<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The platform facilitates the work of municipal teams and community agents, offering a clear structure that is articulated in three phases:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Diagnosis and individual assessment<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Design and execution of the support plan<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Evaluation of results and impact<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Each process lasts approximately <\/span>eleven to twelve months<\/b>, during which time work is carried out to strengthen the relationship and participation networks of the elderly.<\/span><\/p>\n

    This collaboration exemplifies how technology can be a strategic ally in the fight against unwanted loneliness, favoring <\/span>early detection<\/b>, <\/span>personalized intervention<\/b> and <\/span>community coordination<\/b>.
