{"id":13417,"date":"2025-04-11T09:05:58","date_gmt":"2025-04-11T09:05:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/institutorobotica.org\/?p=13417"},"modified":"2025-04-11T09:46:40","modified_gmt":"2025-04-11T09:46:40","slug":"recognition-vivir-en-casa-congress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/institutorobotica.org\/en\/recognition-vivir-en-casa-congress\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovation and recognition at the \u201cVivir en Casa\u201d Congress: The Future of Home Care"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>The Robotics Institute for Dependency presents its technological solutions in Malaga and wins an award for Nodus, its tool to combat unwanted loneliness.<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On April 7 and 8, the <\/span><b>Robotics Institute for Dependency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (IRD) had the honor of participating in the International <\/span><b>Congress on Technological and Social Innovation in Home Care<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, known as <\/span><b>\u201c<\/b><b><i>Vivir en Casa<\/i><\/b><b>\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, held at the Faculty of Social and Labor Studies of the University of Malaga, Andalusia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This event brought together professionals, researchers and social and technological entities in the sector to discuss advances in home care and the crucial role of technology in improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Active presence of IRD at the Congress<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IRD was present at booth 18, where our two most outstanding products were presented: <\/span><b>Laundry ID<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Nodus<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where the latter stood out. Both products are focused on people and, as it could not be otherwise, designed to improve care environments and the daily life of those who require support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the highlights was the pitch by<\/span><b> Jordi Cerezuela<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the Institute\u2019s Managing Trustee, who explained the value of <\/span><b>Nodus <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as a tool to detect and address unwanted loneliness from a public and social perspective. The presentation was broadcast on <\/span><b><i>101tv M\u00e1laga<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> channel and had the institutional support of the Councilor for Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Junta de Andaluc\u00eda<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Loles L\u00f3pez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt wp-image-13418 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/institutorobotica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Captura-de-pantalla-2025-04-09-135446-1024x531.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"673\" height=\"349\" data-warning=\"Falta el texto alternativo\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><b>Recognition of the NODUS product<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the congress, the paper on <\/span><b>Nodus <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has been <\/span><b>selected and awarded<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for its innovation and transformative contribution in the field of home care. This recognition is an endorsement of the approach of the Institute of Robotics for Dependency, which combines applied research, ethical technology and interdisciplinary collaboration to respond to one of the great challenges of our time: <\/span><b>how to better accompany the elderly or people in a situation of dependency in their desire to continue living at home<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The jury particularly valued the product&#8217;s ability to integrate multiple sources of information, facilitate decision-making at the social and healthcare levels, and adapt to the realities of each territory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wpa-warning wpa-image-missing-alt wp-image-13424 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/institutorobotica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-04-07-at-19.36.22-2-e1744362185417-1024x715.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"671\" height=\"468\" data-warning=\"Falta el texto alternativo\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This award not only gives visibility to the work of the Institute of Robotics for Dependency, but also reinforces the need to continue betting on models of technological innovation with a strong social component.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>An enriching experience<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation in the <\/span><b>\u201c<\/b><b><i>Vivir en Casa<\/i><\/b><b>\u201d Congress<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was an opportunity to exchange experiences with other professionals in the sector, forge alliances and continue learning from good practices that are shaping the future of home care.
